Wedged between the Rhine and the Hardt forest, Blodelsheim is also located on the Route de l'Evacuation, which saw its population transplanted in 1939 to the village of Gimont in the Gers, creating special links with this region. The village is also known for its religious heritage, both tangible, such as its Silbermann organ, listed as a Monument Historique, and intangible, such as the cult of the relics of Saint Anicet. The efforts of the famous curé Philippi (19th century) to stimulate the faith are also precious evidence of beliefs and their ability to mobilize crowds.
