Travel Guide Isla Baltra - Seymour Sur

Baltra is a small island of 27 km². North of Santa Cruz Island and south of Seymour Norte Island, it is the main gateway to the archipelago. In the south of the island is the most important airport of the Galapagos, the Seymour airport, which allows to reach easily the central island of Santa Cruz. To get to Santa Cruz, you have to cross the Itabaca Channel with the help of river shuttles that run continuously. Paradoxically, it is the only island of the archipelago that is not part of the Galapagos National Park. The marine and terrestrial iguanas proliferate there in all freedom, they are protected there besides.
