This islet can be seen from the upper part of San Cristobal, off Puerto Grande, west coast of San Cristobal. It consists of two large rocks, one of which is shaped like an obelisk, between which there is a channel. The rock formation is also reminiscent of the silhouette of a sea lion, hence the name. It can only be reached by boat. It is home to impressive colonies of black-footed boobies and albatrosses. It is a spot of diving impossible to circumvent. You can swim in the middle of a multitude of multicolored fish, sea turtles, sea lions, sharks (Galapagos and hammerhead, in particular), manta rays...and sometimes dolphins!
