The Dulce River gave its name to the small village that lies at its birth. In reality, it is above all a succession of stalls and shacks, cheap comedores and mechanical repair shops that overflow onto the road in a joyful disorder. This single street is a portion of the CA13, which connects Flores to Izabal and which crosses the CA9, to the south, allowing to reach Guatemala City. It is the only road access to the lanchas that lead to Livingston, along with Puerto Barrios, 80 kilometers to the east. Thus, one will be satisfied to get off there to go along the banks of the river, in search of an accommodation immersed in the nature from which one will discover the surroundings by kayak or boat, before reaching the Caribbean.
