Tenkodogo is the capital of the Tenkodogo department, with more than 50,000 inhabitants. On the Togolese road between Kupela and the border town of Bitou, it does not have any real tourist interest in itself. It is treated here as a crossroads city, as travellers heading to or from Togo will certainly pass through it and may wish to stop there to stop. Travellers, coming from the south of the Gourounsi country and reaching the east without passing through the capital, will also cross Tenkodogo via the N17. The city's hotel structures make it an ideal stopover. Finally, the nascent development of tourism in the region justifies the entry into the Tenkodogo guide. The village tourism project "Tempelga", near Bané, is highly recommended and the development of tourist activities around Bagré deserves the traveller's interest in this region.
