Capital of Forest Guinea, the city developed from 1912, when it became a military circle. N'Zérékoré or N'Zalikoré owes its name to the river that runs through it, the N'Zali. Located on the borders of Guinea, near Liberia and Côte d'Ivoire, it is a crossroads for the exchange of people and goods. It is here that you will find the famous "Sacred Forest" fabrics, as well as various agricultural products from cash crops such as coffee, cocoa, latex and palm oil. It could also become the capital of iron if the exploitation of the Nimba Mountains is finally put in motion.
