Located in the picturesque Kamieński lagoon, 8 km from the Baltic Sea, this village is over a thousand years old. It takes its name from a huge rock near the northern shore of Chrząszczewska Island. The rock, nicknamed "the royal", refers to a historical event: it was here in 1121 that King Bolesław Krzywousty ascended to examine the Pomeranian fleet offshore. The village, originally Pomeranian, changed hands many times. Rebuilt after the war, this once important port has lost some of its splendor. Nevertheless, the town remains an interesting stopover. Sailing and fishing are among the most popular activities.
