Located in the municipality of Velký Šariš, 8 km north of Prešov. It is accessible through a trail from the town of Velký Šariš. The first written mention of this castle dates back to 1245. It was the power center of the Šariš region, with its 28 m high tower and its knights hall. At that time he was one of Slovakia's greatest castles. It's now ruined since its 1660 explosion. It sits on the heights of Velký Šariš in a protected natural reserve.
