Červený Klaštor is located 65 km north of Poprad and 50 km from Kežmarok. Its main interest lies in the magnificent gorges of the Dunajec River, a true paradise for rafting enthusiasts. Marking the border with Poland, the Dunajec River meanders between the steep flanks of the Tatras and becomes torrential as the gorges narrow and the gradient rises steeply. In addition to rafting, there are easily accessible hiking trails in the Pieniny National Park, which is characterized by a massif with steep cliffs and other rocks. Červený Klaštor means "the red monastery": the village developed around a beautiful Carthusian monastery, now a museum.
