Oravský Podzámok is located on the right bank of the Orava River, 11 km north-east of Dolny Kubin. This small village, on the road from the Orava Valley towards Krakow, is dominated by its magnificent fortress on a rocky outcrop. If you're in the area, a visit to Orava Castle is a must. In the summer, it is possible to go on nice rafting trips with a departure directly at the foot of the castle. In winter, it is possible to ski in the nearby small resort of Ski Park Racibor. If you then continue your journey northwards, don't miss the village of Podbiel, which has many wooden houses.
