2,638 inhabitants. The small village of Zazrivá is located 10 km east of Terchová on route 583. The first written mention of Zazrivá dates back to 1556. This village of character contains buildings built in a traditional wooden architectural style. It has preserved its own folk customs: its production of woven cheese (Zázrivské korbáčikov, PDO), its songs and dances, its production of clothes and folk crafts. It is also the starting point for many wonderful hikes in the Petites Fatras. Zazrivá offers grandiose landscapes and a pleasant calm compared to the hustle and bustle of Terchová in season.
