About 30 kilometers northwest of Olomouc, this very small village is built below a magnificent castle, infamous for housing the SS garrison that perpetrated the massacre of the inhabitants of Javoříčko, a nearby village, the 14th-century castle is a good pretext for a short stroll through the village's alleys, where you can taste an appreciable provincial calm. Even if it is not worth more than a stopover, it will always be a pleasant stop on the way to Hradec Králové, which is much more touristic and lively. The castle is often privatized for events, so please plan your visit.
