This marvel, the seat of the Šternberk family since 1241, is one of the most attractive castles in the region. He sits atop a spur whose shape he takes and watches the Sázava River flow at his feet. It is imposing seen from below, superb inside, and so well situated that it allows you to dominate the whole region (especially from the yellow room). It is one of the few historical monuments that remains the property of its founders. They had to abandon it from 1949 to 1991, during the communist period.
