Situated in Somerset, Wells is one of the smallest towns in Great Britain, thanks to its cathedral which gives it this status. Its name, which means 'well', comes from the St Andrew's spring, which flows into a lake near Bishop's Palace. Its name therefore refers to the three wells in the Bishop's Palace. People come here for its beautiful cathedral and medieval architecture. Not far away, you will find the Bishop's Palace which has beautiful gardens that are perfect for a stroll. Don't miss one of the many markets. Wells is an interesting stop and one that is highly recommended
