Los Nevados is a small, unforgettable village surrounded by mountains, at 2 500 m above sea level. To the north, the Toro and Leon summits, to the east the Aricagua Aricagua, to the south the mountain of the Silla de San Pedro. In the west, a valley was opened by the Señora River on the sides of the majestic Bolívar and Espejo peaks. The road really is worth a detour: We move from dry roads to paths in the forest (in which you can see monkeys, with a little luck), then it's the turn of arid valleys swept by the wind.Obviously, the easy solution would be to go through an agency. But being a little resourceful, the 2 to 3 days walk is accessible to all (or almost). Provided you have a big pajamas, water and the Inparques permit, which you get at the cable car.
