Founded in 1693, this white hamlet of 115 souls, built in height (2 300 m), offers beautiful views over the surroundings. The name of the village comes from the pipes possessed by the natives to irrigate the fields, before conquest, to which the Spaniards gave the name "Acequias". There is even a small museum and a square Bolívar square. The surrounding area offers walking to the indigenous ruins of the village of Mucuño, or cavalcades on the peaks of the mountains, particularly grandiose when the frailejones are in flower, to a small mountain lake at 3 600 m above sea level, where the most masochists can be fun by testing the water.
