This 42 000-hectare park is located in the mountains of Barbacoas, on the roads leading from Tocuyo to El Rincón or from Guanare to Biscucuy. Its altitude is between 1 800 and 3 585 m, leaving a multitude of rivers, including the Tocuyo, the largest in the region. Savannah, Andean vegetation and waterfalls, sometimes glaciers and this hill named Dinira, which owes its name to the word arawak dinta, meaning "breast of women."
