Located on the slopes of the Matese, Sepino has been recognized by the association of the borghi più belli d'Italia, which lists the most beautiful villages in Italy. In terms of nature, Sepino is about 20 minutes from one of the largest oasi managed by the WWF in Italy, the Guardaregia-Campochiarooasi . However, Sepino attracts visitors mainly for its historical wealth and, above all, for the nearby archaeological site of the ancient Saepinum. Close to the small village of Altilia, it is one of the treasures of Molise and one of the two main archaeological areas of the region, and is surprisingly and unjustly still little visited.
