Built between the th and th centuries, these villas of merchants and wealthy bourgeois are very representative of the Tuscan manor architecture. Moreover, it is a palace. The visit takes half a day, the entrance of each villa is paid. From Lucca you have to take the national to the north for the Abetone which runs along the river Sarca, then after 6 km turn right towards Marlia.
