This small village of red tiles, perched on the mountain, is one of the oldest in the valley and one of the most beautiful in Lebanon. For Lamartine, Hasroun was "a bouquet of roses." Perched at 1 400 m above sea level, Hasroun resisted the real estate frenzy. A stroll is required in this charming village with its souk, its 17 fountains, its old houses, its traditional little streets, flower orchards and churches.General de Gaulle spent a night in a hotel now the residence of Lucien Awad. At the bottom of the village, Saint-Jude Church is characterized by its 1,50 m high door. It allowed the faithful to lower their head by entering (sign of respect) and preventing the knights from accessing it.If winter is rather sleepy, summer, with the return of families for the summer season, Hasroun wakes up.
