From Les Avants, a funicular takes you to Sonloup (1,156 m), for a superb viewpoint set in a green setting of forests and mountains. This is one of the first ski resorts in Switzerland and the Sonloup-Les Avants road was for a long time a famous bobsleigh run, where you could meet the writer Ernest Hemingway. Although snow is becoming scarcer, many winter activities still take place there today: the more than 2 km long toboggan run (with funicular), the Manoïre and Orgevaux ski runs, the village and Orgevaux cross-country ski runs (marked and traced).
