An ancient place of worship of the Arians, a heresy that claimed that the nature of Christ was not completely divine. Built under Theodoric in the 6th century, the building has an octagonal shape with absidioles. Like the other monuments, it has beautiful mosaics, including a Baptism of Christ in its dome. Arianism, a theological doctrine condemned at the first Council of Nicaea in 325 and qualified as heresy, continued to impose itself in the East and among the Germanic peoples until the 6th century.

Located inside the 14th-century church of San Nicolò, the museum offers an interesting itinerary to discover the art of mosaic and its history. Your ticket also gives you access to the Rasponi cripta which, together with the pleasant hanging garden, is the only remaining part of the Rasponi family palace. This seventeenth-century residence was replaced by the Palace of the Province, built in 1925 in Romanesque Revival style with Byzantine motifs.

It was in this Romanesque church of the 1321 th century, radically reformed in the th century, that the funeral of Dante was celebrated in. During its history, the church was regularly raised because of the collapse of the soil of Ravenna since Antiquity. The original plan of the basilica is 3,6 m below the road level. A window located beneath the main altar shows the crypt of the th century whose original soil is constantly submerged by water, which does not stop admiring the mosaics.

To the south of Ravenna, between the localities of Classe and Cervia, lies the Classe pine forest, a 900-hectare forest characterized by typical Mediterranean vegetation of umbrella pines and holm oaks, with clearings, dry meadows and swamps. The most interesting and preserved parts are those of Ortazzo, Ortazzino and the mouth of the river Bevano. Bicycle paths make it possible to cover it by bicycle.
