CLASSIS RAVENNA

Inaugurated in 2018, the Museo della Città e del Territorio ("Museum of the City and the Territory"), housed in a former sugar factory, completes the visit to the archaeological site of the Class port. A didactic tour presenting the history of Ravenna and its territory, from the Etruscan period to the Middle Ages. The objects discovered during the excavations illustrate in particular the close links that Ravenna had with the sea, especially in late antiquity, when its port became one of the most important in the Mediterranean.
