ANTICO PORTO DI CLASSE
Archaeological site with a number of warehouses
Inaugurated at the end of July 2015 and occupying an area of about 10,000 m2, the archaeological site of the Antico porto di Classe (Ancient Port of Class) corresponds to the port area of the ancient city of Class, built at the beginning of the 5th century when Ravenna became the capital of the Western Roman Empire. The site includes a number of warehouses built on the banks of a canal and overlooking a paved street, giving visitors an overall view of the roads and port buildings of the time.
