ANTICO PORTO DI CLASSE

Inaugurated at the end of July 2015 and occupying an area of about 10,000 ^m2, the archaeological site of the Antico porto di Classe (Ancient Port of Class) corresponds to the port area of the ancient city of Class, built at the beginning of the ^5th century when Ravenna became the capital of the Western Roman Empire. The site includes a number of warehouses built on the banks of a canal and overlooking a paved street, giving visitors an overall view of the roads and port buildings of the time.
