Renowned for its thermal waters, this small village of just under 1,000 souls has plenty to offer. The houses are built one into the other, and as you stroll along the steep medieval streets, you'll feel as if time has stood still. The15th-century parish church of San Michele Archangel, the loggia in Piazza Vecchia and the breathtaking 1482 frescoes in the church of San Bernardino are all worth a visit. Every October 10, the Raviolata di San Tiberio takes place, a famous culinary event where you can taste cheese ravioli without oil; this event evokes the battle against the Saracens won thanks to the use of boiling oil on the enemy.
