It is the center of Ghana and its breadbasket. This town is of limited interest, except for those who want to stop overnight on the road between Kumasi and Tamale. It is 116 km north of Kumasi and 60 km northeast of Sunyani. The bus station is located near the market in the center of town. Daily departures to Kumasi by tro-tro and bus. Two recommended places to stop: the straw huts of the Dymns tropical garden (Off Kumasi Rd - +233 261 217 733) and the very decent Premier Palace (Techiman - Sunyani Rd - +233 352 091 299).
