We'll be away for at least two weeks, touring Ghana and discovering all the country has to offer. Starting with the capital, Accra, we'll then head north, before heading back down to the coast for a relaxing end to our stay.

Day 1: First day in Ghana

Arrival in Accra, rest. Night in Accra.

Day 2: Visit Accra

Steps: Accra

Visit the National Museum of Ghana, lunch, then a stroll through the old quarter of James Town. If there's any time left, spend it at the Makola market, where you'll experience the full African atmosphere. Overnight in Accra.

Day 3: Discovering Ashanti culture

Steps: Kumasi

Early departure for Kumasi, the country's second-largest city and capital of the Ashanti kingdom. Visit the palace of the Ashanti king and stroll through Kumasi's enormous market. Overnight in Kumasi.

Day 4: Looking for gold

Steps: Kumasi, Obuasi

Go back to Kumasi-Obuasi day to discover the gold mines. Night in Kumasi.

Day 5: Chutes Falls

Steps: Kintampo, Techiman

Departure for Techiman and visit of Kintampo Falls on the road before lunch, at the bottom of the refreshing falls. Night in Techiman.

Day 6: Observation of monkeys

Steps: Nkoranza, Kumasi

Get up early at dawn, visit the monkey sanctuary Baobeng Fiema Sanctuary and the forest where they live. Return and night to Kumasi.

Day 7: Immersion in traditional culture

Steps: Kumasi, Lac Bosumtwi

Visit to traditional villages around Kumasi. Afternoon at Lake Bosumtwi. Overnight stay.

Day 8: Cap on Tamale

Steps: Tamale

A day of road for Tamale. Night in Tamale.

Day 9: Escape in full nature

Steps: Mole National Park

Departure for Mole Park early in the afternoon. Night in the park, in the heart of nature.

Day 10: Ancestral myth

Steps: Larabanga

Early morning visit to Mole Park, then on to the village of Larabanga, with its mosque and magic stone. Overnight in Larabanga.

Day 11: Road to the north

Steps: Tamale, Bolgatanga

Departure in the morning for Tamale and then afternoon for Bolgatanga. Night in Bolgatanga.

Day 12: From village to village

Steps: Bolgatanga

Visit of the traditional village of Sigiru, and possibly other small towns around depending on the time available. Night in Bolgatanga.

Day 13: Back to Kumasi

Steps: Kumasi

A long day of road to Kumasi. Night in Kumasi.

Day 14: Shopping in Accra

Steps: Accra, Kumasi

Kumasi-Accra. Rest in Accra and last minute shopping.

Day 15: Last hours on the beach

Well-deserved day of idleness on the beach of Labadi. Departure the next day.
