This village of almost 8,000 inhabitants is a little gem. Narrow streets where hollyhocks grow between the large cobblestones, half-timbered houses with one floor or colourful one-storey houses, very often clumsy, and to which one reaches by massive stone steps. The highlight of the walk: the town hall... Lilliputian. Once very popular throughout the kingdom, young couples wanted to get married in the "smallest town hall in the world". Now it has been converted into a museum. Ebeltoft is entirely pedestrianised. The village is therefore surrounded by car parks, some on the seafront, others overlooking the village.
