SIAMESISK COLLECTION (SIAMESISK SAMLING)

Especially interesting for the collection of Siam given to the city in 1940 by a curious character: Thygesen Havmøller, fisherman boy of the bay passionate about birds and insects. Sent as a young forester to the forest of Siam, now Thailand, he stayed there for 20 years. Exhausted by malaria, he returned to Denmark in 1933 with his wife and five children.
