Travel Guide Strada Cetaţii

The city fortifications were carried out in several stages. The first lines date from the 1224 th century (), but little remains. At the end of the same century, a second line was built, the main vestige of which is the Council's turn. The visible fortifications today date back to 1410. It's in the Str. Cetaţii that they are the best preserved. The two towers (Olarilor and Dulgherilor) and the wooden and brick round are superb. Other towers (often to trade brotherhoods names) were subsequently added, such as the Soldish Bastion (1627). The bastion in the north of the street is called Haller, the name of a mayor of the th century city.
