Whitehouse is famous for its cornmeal buns, known throughout the island as bammies. On the outskirts of the village, women sit in front of small makeshift stands selling their products to passing motorists. The small village of Whitehouse is not particularly interesting for tourists; the beach is modest, far from the splendor of the beaches of Negril.
