Cambridge is a charming farming town nestled in the mountains that has retained the authentic Jamaican feel of inland life. You have to climb high up the narrow jungle roads after leaving the coastline at Reading and passing the old plantations of Montpelier. The village center is very busy on weekends. Cambridge marks the crossroads of the secondary roads that serve Seaford on the one hand and Croydon on the other. Traces of the old railroad and the modest building that served as a train station bear witness to the not-so-distant past when the train still connected Montego Bay to Kingston.
