Saint-Mary is a charming little parish in the north-west of the island, stretching from the Grève de Lecq (which it does not include, as the latter is in Saint-Ouen) to the Mourier Valley. The coastline here is lined with breathtakingly beautiful cliffs and caves. Unfortunately, these are not easily accessible, but luckily they are sometimes lined with beautiful hiking trails, like the small one leading to Devil's Hole, for example, a fantastic 30-meter-deep chasm. The village itself is small but charming, with its austere stone church and well-kept cemetery, its beautiful flower-filled houses (with plenty of dahlias), its big white school with blue shutters, its impeccable lawns... In short, a delightful little leap back in time awaits you in this picture-postcard village.
