Travel Guide Gordon Town

From Kingston, the gateway to the mountains is in the Papine neighborhood, in the northeast of the city, at the very end of Old Hope Road. From there, you go from an urban setting to jungle scenery in less than 5 minutes! By taking on the right in Cooperage, the road launches out to the assault of the mountains. We quickly cross Gordon Town, a small village melted in the luxuriant tropical forest, before continuing towards Guava Ridge then Mavis Bank, and finally towards the highest of the summits of the range, Blue Mountain Peak. From Mavis Bank onwards, public transport stops and you have to ask for the services of jeep drivers who are used to the area.
