Mavis Bank is the last town on the road to Blue Moutains Peak, a small, remote mountain village with little to offer. You can get there by minibus from Papine, but the road stops here. If you continue to climb the peak, you will have to pay a private transport. There are hotels here that offer this solution, as well as local guides who will wait for you at the crossroads at the police station. You can also simply stay in the village to enjoy its peaceful atmosphere if you don't have the faith to climb the peak, a very sportive ascent which is organized at night to see the sun rising over the whole island
