If you want to go directly from Rutovu to Bujumbura, without taking the detour through Bururi, off the Road RN 7, the town of Matana offers a good opportunity for a break (88 km from Bujumbura, 24 km from Rutovu).From Rutovu, the paved road passes through stretched hills, where one crosses cows, men and women bearing on the head the sharp pointus baskets, typical of the plateaus.
