For those who seek authenticity and tranquility, the small village of Taghazout is a pretty fishing port and a paradise for surfers in winter, located about thirty minutes drive from Agadir. You can appreciate its gentle way of life and its pleasant climate all year round. It should not be confused with Taghazout Bay, the new tourist resort where large luxury hotel complexes have sprung up, about 4 km south of the village. Here, there are budget hostels and unpretentious restaurants where you can enjoy traditional dishes. Nothing to do with the stuffy atmosphere of Agadir.
