The population of M'diq, better known as Rincón, increases considerably in summer due to its beautiful beaches. A small fishing town, this seaside resort attracts lovers of seafood, the flagship of the local gastronomy. M'diq is also known for its tourist complexes and hotels. Its fishing port supplies the city of Tetouan and its surroundings. Water sports, tennis, horseback riding, golf, etc., can be practiced thanks to the modern facilities that have been provided to this part of the coast. Finally, a new marina, with a pleasant promenade on the marina that includes several restaurants, opened in 2014. A few kilometers to the south is Cabo Negro, an elegant seaside resort lurking at the foot of a rocky promontory. Sand dunes, Mediterranean vegetation and white houses characterize the place. Unfortunately, the entire site and the long sandy beach are privatized. Cabo Negro is a bit like the Moroccan Saint-Tropez, where the whole jet-set owns a house. It is especially in summer that the atmosphere is in full swing and that celebrities invest the place. A few hotels, including a Club Med, have taken possession of the northern part of the beach. To the north of M'diq, in the direction of Ceuta, numerous golden sand beaches have been developed for the great pleasure of summer visitors.
