Moulay Bousselham is a small fishing town, more than 40 km south of Larache. This town is named after its saint who died during the Battle of Three Kings, which put an end to the Portuguese invasion at the end of the 16th century. It is a place of meditation for Moroccans, especially on the occasion of the Moussem organized every year. A haven of tranquillity, the city offers an authentic atmosphere, nestled between the calm waters of the lagoon and its sandbanks where one can embark to approach the wading birds and pink flamingos, from November to March. The lagoon is home to other species, such as the Andouain's gull. A stop that is worth the detour.
