A small community on the shores of Lake Superior, Bayfield faces the Apostle Islands, the twenty-two small islands that are extensions of the large spit of land that juts into the interior of Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin. Bayfield's main attraction is Lake Superior, with all it has to offer: swimming, kayaking, walks along the shoreline. But Bayfield is also inland, with beautiful orchards and views overlooking the lake. Not to spoil anything, there are many festivals in Bayfield. In spring, it is the time for the trees to bloom; in summer, there are art and sports festivals; in autumn, festivals are organized around apple picking.
