Tettegouche Nature Park is located 58 miles north of Duluth along Highway 61. The park includes six lakes with fish-rich waters (including walleye), four waterfalls and a sandy beach on the shores of Lake Superior. The park is famous for Shovel Point, a lookout point perched at 55 m on top of a sheer cliff overlooking the lake. South of Shovel Point, the massive cliff of Palisade Head is a worthy rival. The park is accessible by foot. On the spot, there is a campground, part of which is accessible all year long. The entrance of the park is not free, it is necessary to count 7 US$ per vehicle for the day.
