Located on the western edge of the Upper Peninsula, a stone's throw from the state of Wisconsin, it's Michigan's largest state park. Covering just over 24,000 hectares, the Porkies are one of the Midwest's last remaining wildernesses. It's an area renowned for its outdoor activities, but also for its birdwatching, with 400 species frequenting the area. Don't forget your binoculars! Accommodation is available in camping, yurts, rustic wood cabins or large lodges.
