This park, covered with snow in winter and spring, is sublimated by forests of tepa, manio, and coigüe of an amazing luxuriance and thickness. The hunters of images will be able to observe numerous species of birds (of which the carpintero negro, woodpecker), pumas, pudús, or huemules. The park is also distinguished by its lakes and lagoons as well as by the proximity of volcanoes. The Puyehue volcano culminates at 2,240 m and the Antillanca volcano at 1,990 m; on its slopes is installed a small ski resort, practicable between June and October. The park is very well equipped with camping areas and well-marked trails.
