This reserve is composed of two adjacent reserves, those of Malalcahuello and Nalcas. Two imposing volcanoes pierce the horizon: Tolhuaca and Lonquimay. From the latter volcano was born the Crater Navidad, formed after an eruption at Christmas 1988. The Cautin River meanders through the reserve alongside the Nalcas Rivers, two tributaries of the Rio Bio Bio. You can discover five trails of different difficulty : Piedra Santa, Very Arroyos, El Raleo, Las Araucarias and el Coloradito. The Corralco Center functions in winter as a ski resort and in summer as a Mountain Lodge. The environment is superb. Count 4 000 $ the entry.
