The strategic military position of Angol, at the foot of the Nahuelbeta Mountain Range and next to the Vergara River, explains its eventful history, in which natural disasters were added to the indigenous assaults. Angol, which became a city in 1871, was destroyed and rebuilt seven times! It was the place of departure of the last expedition of definitive occupation of Araucania. It is now a city of more than 53,000 inhabitants whose shady square is worth a look, with its lime trees surrounding a circular garden full of flowers. Lie down on a bench, close your eyes, forget about the city, but above all don't forget about the departure bus!
