Take the route of Agadir on 5 km, then turn right after the bridge to Emprunter (in bad condition), 500 m. Turn left again, just after a wind turbine, towards the village of Diabat, 1 km farther, on the mouth of the Ksob Oued. Dar Sultan, the stuck palace, was built in Andalusian style in the late th century by Sidi Mohammed ben Abdullah in order to receive the consuls and traders in the Kasbah in a hearing. From the five pavilions furnished to the European and the ceilings decorated with richly carved woodwork, the ruins of one, probably the oldest. At the beginning of the last century, the palace was occupied by Moulay Abderrahmane, governor of Essaouira, before becoming the residence of ambassadors on mission. Towards the end of the th century, the ponds and the tamarisks forest around the palace disappeared to leave the dunes. This show, particularly impressive at dusk, inspired to Jimi Hendrix - who lance the ruins a few years - the song Castle in the sand. Lovers of dunes and adventurous photographers will take a detour to the beach of Sidi Harraz. By leaving Dar Sultan, go back to Tangaro and take the forest trail on your right (7 km). It is a real field of dunes, extended with a loss of sight, which then presents itself to you over a dozen kilometers, up to Cape Sim.
