Travel Guide Kasbah Hamidouch

Located about 80 km south of Safi. Once past Dar Caïd Hadji and the Tensift wadi, count 2 km and take the track on the right. After 1.7 km of track, you will see jagged ramparts on the right overhanging the left bank of the wadi, near its mouth. These are the ruins of an important kasbah of which not much remains. The whole is a field surrounded by crenellated walls and punctuated by a few watchtowers. Inside there is a mosque and several ruined buildings. This imposing fortress dates from the reign of Moulay Ismaïl, at the end of the 17th century. The place remains interesting for its nature and tranquility.
