Nettlé Bay is a narrow spit of sand between the Caribbean Sea and Simpson Bay lagoon. This peninsula is just a few minutes' drive from Marigot, past the bridge and the popular Sandy Ground district. You can venture into the ruins of a once luxurious hotel (La Belle Créole). The site is ideal for photo enthusiasts. The Baie Nettlé beach, mainly private, is mostly frequented by locals at weekends. You reach the Dutch part of the island via a picturesque road through Terres-Basses. The best diving center on the island, Blue Odyssey Diving, is located on the lagoon side.
