St. Martin is one of the wildest parishes in Guernsey, located on the southeast coast of the island. Its coastline is very steep and it is very pleasant to walk along the footpaths through shady woods and valleys. Moreover, from the promontory of Jerbourg, you may be able to see (in good weather) the neighboring islands of Herm, Sark and even the Cotentin coast. However, the most compelling view is from Icart Point. There, the coves of Moulin Huet Bay (where Renoir spent a month painting and drawing in 1883), Fermain Bay (a pebbled beach in the middle of greenery) and Petit Port are perfect for swimming. Other points of interest: Sausmarez Manor, the Grandmother of Chimquière, the Doyle column and the beach of "Petit Bôt Bay"(bôt: wood), where fishing boats are moored.
