It was for several decades a store selling tea and coffee. A Carioca, founded in 1936 by Isidoro Teixeira, has given way to a store selling vegan pastéis de nata (i.e. without any animal products). However, the historical store has not completely disappeared because you can still buy its coffee, or even taste it directly with a good pastel de nata. The decoration has also been preserved as it was. At night, you can admire its facade with colorful and vintage neon lights that give it a crazy cachet.

Opened in 2014, this tea shop has become an essential address in Lisbon. We sell a wide selection of teas from here and abroad, as well as homemade creations, such as "Earl Grey Portugal" flavoured with bergamot produced in Portugal, "lisbon breakfast" or the very good teas from Darjeeling. It should be recalled that the country was one of the first in Europe to have contact with China and Macao; it has kept the word "Chá" in Mandarin to designate tea.

This boutique is part of the "lojas com historia" network, meaning that it has been part of the Lisbon landscape for many years. Initially located in Baixa, it reopened in 1957 in the Alvalade district. Now run by Paulo Manso and his mother, the store is the only one in the district to offer a full selection of coffees and teas.
